Milk tea wipe-out health benefits
Tea and milk in itself have many health benefits on their own but when combining, the health benefits are ruined as it leads to acidity and inflammation. Due to the reason that tea contains antioxidants catechins and epicatechins which when milk is added, it cuts down the amount of these antioxidants’ making this a source of acidity and inflammation. Also, when sugar is added, it becomes worse. It is also advised not to start your day with a cup of milk tea, as milk tea wipe-out health benefits. However, most Indians drink the milk tea early in the morning on an empty stomach which increases more acidity, dehydration and could lead to bloating.
Recently a study published in the European Heart Journal also suggested that those who drink tea may gain some protection against heart disease, however, these benefits are drained out if milk is added to it. Due to the reason that milk changes the biological activities of the tea. Though it is known to relax blood vessels, till the milk is not added to it, cause it delays the process.
It is also believed by experts that the protein which is found in milk known as casein form complexes with the flavonoid named catechin present in tea, which is responsible for the stimulation of the production of a chemical nitric oxide.
